I’ve seen it twice and have cried twice. For anyone that has experienced abuse this may be a challenging yet very helpful movie. Forgiveness has never been so much about changing the ‘other person’ as it is about changing us and our attitudes. The acting is wonderful! Dennis Quaide does a amazing job of drawing you into his character to first hate him and then sympathize with him as he struggles to reconnect with his son. If it wasn’t based on real events you might think it was a bit ‘over the top’ with Amy Grant and M.W.Smith, but that just makes it all the more astonishing. HIGHLY recomend and will own when it’s on DVD.
